With over 20 years of experience as a therapist, I specialize in helping individuals navigate trauma and anxiety disorders. I am trained in a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each person I work with. At the core of my practice is a deep belief in the power of unconditional positive regard—a commitment to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where healing can take place. Research shows that the most important factor in successful therapy is the quality of the relationship between therapist and client. Building trust and fostering an open, compassionate connection is essential for growth. My goal is to work collaboratively with you to develop a path forward, supporting you in uncovering your strengths and achieving lasting change.
The first session is all about creating a safe, supportive space where you can begin to feel heard and understood. We’ll start by talking about what brings you to therapy—what you’ve been experiencing, what you’re hoping to change, and any questions or concerns you may have about the process. There’s no pressure to share everything right away. In fact, I encourage you to go at a pace that feels right for you. We’ll discuss your history as much as you're comfortable, focusing on building a trusting relationship and helping you feel grounded in the therapy space. I'll also share a bit about how I work and the evidence-based approaches I use to treat trauma and anxiety. We’ll begin to identify your goals for therapy together, whether that’s reducing anxiety, improving emotional regulation, healing from past experiences, or simply feeling more like yourself again. Above all, you can expect compassion, respect, and unconditional regard. Therapy works best when you feel safe and connected, and building that foundation begins in our very first meeting.
One of my core strengths as a therapist is my ability to build genuine, trusting relationships with people. I understand that therapy is most effective when people feel safe, respected, and seen — especially when working through trauma and anxiety. I bring warmth, humor, and unconditional positive regard to every session, creating a space where people can show up exactly as they are. Clients often describe me as calm, steady, and deeply present—someone who can hold difficult emotions without judgment and help them make sense of their experiences. I listen carefully, offer compassionate guidance, and support people in reclaiming their inner strength and sense of self.
My ideal client is someone who is ready to explore how their experiences may be impacting their present life. They may be struggling with anxiety, chronic self-doubt, relational issues, emotional overwhelm, difficulty trusting others, or feeling “stuck” despite their efforts to move forward. They may not have all the answers yet, but they are curious, open to reflection, and willing to engage in the therapeutic process. They may have tried to manage things on their own or even been to therapy before, but they are now seeking deeper healing and want a therapist who will meet them with empathy, respect, and genuine collaboration. Their goals often include feeling more in control of their emotions, building healthier relationships, improving self-worth, and developing a sense of safety in their own body and mind. More than anything, they want to feel whole again—and they are ready to do the work to get there, with the right support.
Over the course of my career I’ve focused on helping people process and heal from trauma. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where they can explore their experiences in a structured way. Using methods like exposure therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and cognitive processing therapy, I work with individuals to identify and challenge negative thoughts and beliefs shaped by their trauma. I also help them develop healthy coping strategies to manage difficult emotions and reactions. By combining exposure techniques, cognitive restructuring, and skill-building exercises, I help to empower people to regain control and reduce the impact of trauma on their daily lives.
