New to Grow
I’m Brittany McCullar, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and build more fulfilling, grounded lives. I specialize in working with adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, ocd, and impact of trauma. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care. I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and CBT to help clients build emotional regulation and coping skills, somatic approaches to support healing through the body, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients cultivate self-acceptance and live in alignment with their values.
The first session is all about getting to know each other and beginning to build a sense of comfort and trust. I’ll start by reviewing confidentiality, answering any questions you might have about the therapy process, and discussing what brought you in at this time. Together, we’ll talk about your goals, your history, and what’s been feeling most challenging lately.
My warm, authentic approach, allows me to create a safe place for clients.
My ideal client is someone who feels stuck in patterns of self-doubt, worry, or emotional overwhelm and is ready to explore new ways of relating to themselves and the world. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling disconnected—from their emotions, their bodies, or their sense of purpose—and are looking to rebuild trust in themselves. They may be struggling with depression, anxiety, past trauma, or low self-esteem, and they’re open to both reflection and skill-building. My clients are often high-achieving, caring individuals who appear to have it all together on the outside but are struggling internally with self-criticism, perfectionism, or feelings of not being “enough.” The clients who thrive in therapy with me tend to value authenticity and are willing to be curious about their inner world. They’re open to a holistic approach that includes mindfulness, body awareness, and practical tools for managing emotions and making meaningful changes in their lives.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Life can be complex. Understanding duality, having the ability to appropriately process thoughts and emotions , and emotional regulation are essential. DBT is a structured evidenced based approach. I collaborate with clients to utilize the structure and core components of DBT to facilitate client’s learning of mindfulness with emphasis on balance to propel clients to take action.
