LICSW, 7 years of experience
Hi! I’m Christina Fals, LCSW (she/her/hers) — a bilingual Hispanic American Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Washington, D.C., offering virtual therapy for clients in D.C. and Maryland. I provide a compassionate, culturally affirming space for individuals navigating life’s transitions, identity exploration, and emotional healing. I work with older children and teens (ages 12–17), as well as young adults and professionals in their 20s to 40s who are balancing multiple roles — student, partner, caregiver, or professional — while striving to feel more grounded, confident, and emotionally balanced. Many of my clients identify as Latino/a/x, multicultural, or queer, seeking a therapist who truly understands the intersection of culture, identity, and emotional well-being.
Our first session is a space for you to share your story at your own pace. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to change or understand, and what you need to feel supported. I’ll ask some background questions to get to know you better — your experiences, values, and the parts of your identity that shape who you are. I approach every session with cultural humility and respect for the unique intersections of your identity, including race, culture, language, gender, and sexuality. Whether you identify as LGBTQ+, multicultural, or are navigating questions of belonging, this is a space where all parts of you are welcome. By the end of our first session, we’ll identify your goals and start building a plan that feels collaborative, affirming, and grounded in your lived experience

With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I’ve dedicated my career to helping individuals navigate life’s most challenging transitions — from mental health crises and recovery to identity exploration and personal growth. My background spans work with adults facing depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, substance use, chronic illness, and severe mental health conditions. I bring a trauma-informed, strength-based, and culturally sensitive approach to therapy. I have supported individuals reintegrating into their communities after inpatient or crisis treatment and helped design innovative programs for children and adults with co-occurring disorders. As a former Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Director, and Executive Director, I value collaboration, compassion, and empowerment — helping each client build resilience, confidence, and lasting change
My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to make meaningful changes in their lives — even if they’re not sure where to start. They may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, yet still hold a quiet hope that things can get better. Many are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, identity exploration, or the effects of stress, trauma, or burnout. I work with older children and teens (ages 8–17) who are struggling with emotional regulation, school stress, or family conflict, as well as young adults and professionals in their 20s–40s learning to balance independence, self-discovery, and belonging. My clients often describe feeling like they’re carrying the weight of multiple identities — Latino/a/x, multicultural, bilingual, or queer — and want a therapist who truly understands their lived experiences.
