New to Grow
I’m a licensed therapist with over 10 years of experience helping adults navigate recovery, anxiety, and life transitions. I specialize in working with people who’ve reached a crossroads and are ready to move beyond just getting by into building a life that feels purposeful and aligned. My approach is direct, supportive, and focused on real, lasting change—combining practical tools with honest conversation to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting a clear picture of what’s bringing you in and what you want to change. I’ll ask thoughtful questions about your current situation, history, and goals, while also making space for anything you feel is important to share. It’s a conversation—not an interrogation. You can expect a direct but supportive approach. By the end of the session, we’ll begin identifying patterns, clarify your goals, and outline a path forward so you leave with a sense of direction—not just more to think about.
My approach is both direct and deeply practical. I don’t just offer insight—I help you translate that insight into clear, actionable steps so you can see real movement in your life. Our work stays focused on what matters most: breaking patterns, building momentum, and creating change that actually sticks. I also bring a unique blend of clinical expertise and lived experience, especially in recovery work. Clients often tell me they feel both challenged and supported—I’ll meet you where you are, but I won’t let you stay stuck. The result is not just symptom relief, but a stronger sense of clarity, confidence, and direction in how you move forward.
My ideal client is an adult at a crossroads—often in recovery—who has done meaningful work to stabilize their life but now feels stuck, restless, or unsure of what’s next. They’re self-aware and motivated, even if they feel overwhelmed, and they’re ready to move beyond just “getting by” into building a life that feels purposeful, aligned, and fully their own. They value honesty and are open to a direct, collaborative approach. They’re willing to look at patterns, challenge their thinking, and take action between sessions. They’re not looking for a quick fix—they’re ready to do the work to create lasting change and step into a stronger, more intentional version of themselves.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. I guide them in identifying unhelpful patterns, challenging distorted thinking, and taking practical steps toward change. My approach is direct, supportive, and focused on real-life application—especially for those navigating recovery, anxiety, and major life transitions.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients work through ambivalence and strengthen their own motivation for change. Through open-ended questions and reflective listening, I help them clarify what they want and why it matters. Rather than pushing, I guide clients to build confidence and take steps that align with their values.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients shift their focus from problems to possibilities. I guide them in identifying what’s already working, clarifying their goals, and taking small, practical steps toward change. This approach keeps our work efficient, forward-focused, and grounded in real progress rather than getting stuck in the past.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I incorporate Mindfulness to help clients slow down, increase awareness, and better manage stress and emotional reactivity. I teach simple, usable techniques they can apply in real time to stay grounded and present. This helps clients respond more intentionally rather than reacting on autopilot, especially during high-stress or triggering moments.
Trauma Informed Care
I approach all of my work through a Trauma-Informed Care lens, prioritizing safety, trust, and respect in the therapeutic relationship. I’m mindful of how past experiences may impact how clients think, feel, and respond, and I avoid approaches that feel overwhelming or re-traumatizing. Instead, I focus on helping clients build a sense of control, stability, and empowerment as they move forward.
