(she/her)
Welcome! As much as you are here to seek support, I also welcome the space and time to be human. A human with experiences, with feelings, with little words, no words, many words...all that you are. In my journey, as a professional, that has been a key aspect to consider and to adapt to myself- I, too am human. In my profession, I have made it a mission to remain open to various training approaches and modalities; however, I have found myself working with trauma, depression/ anxiety, adjustment, and overall life changes mostly, and with adolescents, young adult, adults and couples.
During our first session, I will work towards listening to your needs as well as gathering information on you and what has brought you to therapy. We can discuss expectations, establish goals and any questions felt needed to ask me, I will gladly provide response, given professional limits.
Over the years, I have explored various modalities and I keep learning. I enjoy that although I am a professional, the clients I serve end up being their own experts, where I happen to solely provide added support or tools for a brief time.
As long as you are here, searching for support, we can work together! Whether unsure, open, guarded, you are searching or in need and that is workable and who I can be best positioned to serve. Do not feel obligated to "stick it out", therapy is a mutual agreement and if at any point you do not feel comfortable with me (or vice versa) we can discuss best next steps.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
This approach can be foundational! We can learn so much when it comes to our thoughts, actions, and behavior.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
EFT OR Emotional Freedom Technique I use as a gentle way to go through a trauma, or significant event. We breathe, tap, and navigate that significant event with compassion and keep you grounded instead of escaping into that moment.
EMDR
I am trained in EMDR and we can explore further during consultation call or session.
