Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Georgia. I received my Masters from Columbia University in 2005 and became a licensed as a clinical social worker in 2013. I work with adults with varying emotional and mental health concerns including adjustment, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar, and psychotic disorders.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, I will spend the time getting to know you and understanding your life story, including the past and present challenges that impact your emotional wellness. We will also begin exploring and identifying treatment goals and decide on session frequency.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my experience diagnosing and providing therapy for a wide range of mental health diagnoses. Additionally, I am engaging, thoughtful, caring, and empathetic. Finally, I have an eclectic therapeutic style that encompasses a variety of therapy modalities.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with adults who are either recently experiencing mental health issues or have been dealing with them for a long time. While I find it easier working with individuals who are ready to engage in therapy, I enjoy the challenge of helping more reluctant people embrace, engage in and benefit from therapy.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used CBT for years to treat a variety of mental health conditions. I find it helpful to change thoughts and behaviors to improve mental health and wellness.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I find ACT helpful in reconciling the internal conflicts that impact emotional wellness. The acceptance of self and symptoms can help to relieve distresss and create room to improve mental health and wellness.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I have been using mindfulness for years and use it as an adjunct to other therapy methods such as CBT and ACT.

Motivational Interviewing

I primarily began using mindfulness in addiction trearment, however, quickly found that it was useful in treating mental health issues as well.
