I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Clinical Supervisor. I have a depth of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in communities across Orange County and Los Angeles County. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a focus on Developmental Psychology and a Master's Degree in Counseling with specialized training working with Latinx populations from California State University, Fullerton. I support my clients in obtaining healing and growth from past trauma, exploring their identity to build acceptance and self-compassion, and helping clients to transform their lives with each small step towards holistic healing and growth.
In our first session together, we'll do some brief introductions and I'll gather some history so that we can develop a tailored treatment plan to support you through your concerns.
My greatest strengths as a provider are my passion in helping you find a voice in your life and providing a safe therapeutic space where I hope you always feel heard, valued, and encouraged. In this part of your journey, I work my hardest to develop a caring and collaborative relationship where you feel empowered to make the changes in your life to develop growth, healing, and resiliency.
I am deeply passionate about working with youth, adolescents, and young adults. My client's are often confused, overwhelmed, and are seeking to find a space to feel heard, understood, and safe to make changes in their lives.
I am trained in Individual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) by the Academy of Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (https://www.academyofcbt.org). I've been able to utilize this approach to support individuals with healing, growing through challenges, and obtaining a sense of freedom and control over our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
With a trauma-focused CBT approach, I've been able to support individuals in developing insight onto how past events shape us as individuals and how we can utilize this insight to to integrate positive changes, heal from past trauma, and write a new narrative for the future.
Much of my approach is rooted in attachment theory and how early childhood experiences mold and shape the individuals we are. We can utilize this approach to understand your identity, develop acceptance and self-compassion, and navigate ongoing challenges with a growth-based mindset.
I support clients in integrating their cultural identity into the treatment process as it shapes our sense of self and how we perceive the world, our challenges, and ultimately our goals. I provide a gender-affirming approach and support clients in exploring their identity, developing self-advocacy skills, and thriving as a unique individual.
EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based psychotherapy that helps people heal from the emotional distress caused by disturbing life experiences. Whether it’s trauma, anxiety, grief, or difficult memories that feel “stuck,” EMDR allows the brain to reprocess these experiences so they no longer carry the same emotional weight.
