Welcome! I'm Jen. Take a moment to acknowledge you've taken the first step towards bettering your mental health because, let's be honest - starting therapy can be empowering, confusing, or scary, all at the same time. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows my guests to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, and/or self-care. I focus on helping guests develop assertive communication & boundaries with themselves and those around them that can help improve their quality of life. Counseling can foster personal development in whatever way you may be seeking and help build the life you so deeply deserve. If that's what you're looking for, I'm here when you're ready to share. Together, we will identify your distractions, use our energy together and get you movement! You'll leave the session with a better understanding of what you're facing with an "actions I can take right now" approach. There will always be room for suggestions concerning our work together, including keeping each other accountable.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first visit will be what I call our discovery visit. We will gather some historical data, but will really work to determine what the end result is and start moving towards it. I do not spend too much time on past events and the associated difficulties because our power is in the moment.

My greatest strength as a provider is resolving distractions through unique approaches that get your mind updated and optimized, working in your best interest!

I am passionate about resolving trauma, guilt and shame, grief, and anxiety. In order to do this, I have found a very unique way to do so that is efficient, effective, and does not cause one to re-experience any pain.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT along with Behavioral Activation, Motivational Interviewing and the Cortina Method. These are modalities that facilitate getting movement forward. These are all practices that do not require you to recall or relive negative emotions, as that does nothing to get you where you are going.
