Greetings, Are you feeling stressed and overwhelmed by life circumstances? Have you been struggling to make things make sense but instead find yourself stuck in cycles of frustration despite attempts to figure things out on your own? I specialize in helping women with anxiety and depression disorders. I love creating a safe, non-judgmental environment that enables you to get to the core of your struggles. Together we can find clarity and identify what's not working and explore evidence-based techniques to help you breakthrough cycles and overcome. We'll integrate mindfulness practices and use holistic approaches to address your mind, body and spirit needs. I do understand that pursuing therapy can feel uncertain but you're making the right choice to invest in your healing and growth. Looking forward to working with you. Cynthia Holden, LCPC
Your first session will be different from future visits. Your initial session is a time for us to get to know each other and get an idea of how to proceed. Future visits will be more therapeutic in nature. You can expect to answer questions about your symptoms, what brought you to therapy, and your history. You will leave each session feeling heard, respected and sometimes challenged.
My therapeutic orientation is based from Cognitive-behavioral therapy which focuses on making connections between thoughts behavior, and feelings. Client-centered therapy, a non-directive form of talk therapy that emphasizes positive unconditional regard for you the client.
Many of the clients I work with express feeling safe in our session and also experience sincere empathy and genuine regard for their circumstances. These are two of my greatest strengths in addition to being a great listener and empowering individuals to explore alternative ways of coping with their symptoms.
I am particularly focused on adult woman with adjustment, anxiety, depression disorders.
