LP, 5 years of experience
Hi there! My name is Dr. Jillian Baldwin (but please feel free to call me Jillian), and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Psy.D.) based in Miami, FL working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adolescents and adults, utilizing relationship-based interventions paired with individualized behavioral plans and skill-building to support clients in reaching their goals. My communication style is accommodating, personable, and at times playful! I strive to work collaboratively and creatively with my clients, emphasizing and building upon their strengths and supporting them in moving in the direction of their values. What drives me most as a psychologist is a genuine interest and love for people. Every individual has their own story, history, strengths, difficulties, and unique way of viewing the world. I, like everyone, have experienced the sense of relief and the genuine connection that comes from truly feeling heard and understood by someone, especially when it appears that most people do not. As a psychologist, I strive to create this experience by providing a safe and understanding therapeutic environment where my clients can feel comfortable being themselves.
During the first session, clients can expect to spend the majority of time exploring what brought them to treatment. I will ask several questions to better understand what may be contributing to a client’s current difficulties. Each individual is different, and I like to listen first before assuming I know what will work best for a client moving forward. I then work collaboratively with clients to determine what they would like to accomplish in treatment. This often starts by building trust and getting comfortable with what it means to be in therapy. Over time, I work with clients to set goals and track progress.
Using a collaborative approach to treatment, I guide my clients in building skills to help them improve their level of functioning and live in the direction of their values. I believe that each client requires a therapeutic approach that is unique to his/her/their needs. I utilize several therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Exposure and Response Prevention, often integrating approaches based on a client’s presenting problems and personal goals.
I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for adolescents and adults who may be dealing with the challenges of life transitions and mood difficulties. This often takes the form of anxiety, depression, stress, attention problems, low motivation, and relationship struggles. I work to help my clients navigate these transition periods and build skills to support them in reaching their goals.

She is very good at getting to the bottom of your issue. Helped reccommend me towards career counseling since that was my main problem. Easy to talk to and an overall wonderful person.

Therapy has become my solitude because of Jillian. It’s the quiet moment in my week where I can stop holding everything together. No pressure to make sense, no need to justify what I feel. Jillian doesn’t fix me, she listens. To be fully heard—not corrected, not rushed, not filtered—is what makes all the difference. It’s where healing quietly begins. I am thankful to have that hour each week with Jillian.

Very comfortable to talk to. She is a great listener and provided me with some great insight. She understands where I am coming from on certain things and knows how to ask the right questions
