LMHC, 6 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who has 7 years of experience in the mental health field. Some of my past employment experiences have been in-home family work, crisis intervention, and clinical outpatient with diverse populations. Throughout my clinical experience I have addressed depression, anxiety, trauma, couples, families, and substance misuse with individuals. I emphasize the importance of collaboration within counseling and welcome an atmosphere of fluid feedback to help make the most of your therapy experience.
During our first session you can expect humor, curiosity, and collaboration. One of the key ingredients of therapy is building a working relationship, where I attempt to foster in the first session.
When working with clients, I always strive to learn more. I truly want to understand each person's perspective and apply the most effective approach. This method of thinking provides the motivation to learn and evolve as a provider, and to allow for a more individualized approach.
I work best with clients who prefer a direct however, empathic approach. I want individuals to feel they are building insight and skills to use outside of session so they can in turn become their own therapist. I want clients to feel like their time is being used effectively and are motivated to strive towards collaborative goals.
