William Eevee Santos
Hi, I’m Eevee. Yep, like the Pokémon! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I believe therapy works best when you can show up as your whole self, knowing that your experiences, identities, values, culture, and strengths will be respected and welcomed. As a Black, LGBTQ+ identified, gender-nonconforming therapist, my lived experiences shape how I understand identity, belonging, authenticity, community, and the ways our environments influence our well-being. They inform my commitment to culturally responsive care and creating a space where you don’t have to hide or minimize important parts of who you are. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity, stress, and experiences that can leave life feeling difficult or disconnected. My work is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that people have an incredible capacity for growth. I approach therapy as two experts working together: you bring expertise in your life, and I bring clinical knowledge, therapeutic tools, and curiosity. Together, we explore what matters to you and what may be getting in the way. At the heart of my work is a simple philosophy: I want to support you as you Grow Through Life—developing greater understanding, skills, courage, and connection along the way.
First session
Our first session is an opportunity to begin getting to know one another. You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what’s happening in your life, what matters to you, and what you hope might be different. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, relationships, culture, and the environments that have shaped you. We’ll also review how therapy works, discuss expectations, and make space for your questions. You can expect warmth, curiosity, and collaboration, with room to laugh, reflect, give feedback, and simply be human. We’ll begin identifying what you would like to work toward and how we might approach that work together. My hope is that you leave feeling heard and with a clearer sense of whether I feel like the right therapist for you. Therapy requires participation and trust, and we’ll begin building that foundation together.
Strengths
I bring warmth, curiosity, creativity, humor, and a collaborative perspective to our sessions. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, strengths-based, and flexible, with attention to both your personal experiences and the environments that shape your life. I often describe my role as sitting in the passenger seat while you remain behind the wheel. I may help you notice patterns, consider another route, or slow down and explore something differently, while you determine the direction of our work. Together, we may use evidence-based strategies, psychoeducation, reflection, and practical skills you can carry beyond the therapy room. You are welcome to ask questions, give feedback, laugh, and simply be human. In our first session, you don’t need to have everything figured out. We’ll explore what brings you to therapy, your strengths, and what you hope might change. My goal is for you to leave with a clearer sense of our potential fit and how we might work together. Your participation matters, and so does the trust we build together.
Ideal clients
I work well with people who want to better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and move toward a life that feels more connected to their values. You may be navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, or questions about identity and belonging. Perhaps you feel disconnected from yourself, overwhelmed by expectations, or uncertain about what comes next. I especially welcome people who want a space where their culture, identities, and lived experiences are respected, including LGBTQ+ individuals, people of color, and those exploring gender expression or navigating environments where they haven’t felt fully understood. You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or how to approach therapy. We can begin with uncertainty, curiosity, or simply a desire for something to change. Together, we’ll explore your concerns, recognize your strengths, and develop practical ways to support your growth at a pace that respects your needs.
Treatment methods
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I believe you are the expert on your life. You bring your experiences, culture, values, strengths, and hopes, and I bring clinical knowledge, curiosity, and tools to support your growth. Together, we shape therapy around what matters to you. I create a warm, respectful space where you can show up as your whole self and explore your experiences without judgment. Through reflection, thoughtful questions, and honest conversation, we work toward greater self-understanding, self-trust, and choices that align with your values. I often describe my role as sitting in the passenger seat while you remain behind the wheel. I may help you notice patterns, explore another route, or consider a different perspective, while respecting your autonomy and pace. My goal is to support your capacity to Grow Through Life with greater awareness, courage, and connection.
