Welcome! I'm glad you are here considering starting your therapy journey. My name is Vik and I have been a marriage and family therapist for over 9 years. My therapy style includes a focus on empowerment and skill-building to assist you with the challenges you're facing. I focus on building a safe, caring, and respectful therapeutic relationship with clients. Our therapeutic relationship is an important aspect of the work we will do together.

In our first session, we will get to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy. We will also review your intake paperwork, talk about what to expect in therapy, and make sure you feel comfortable with our therapeutic dynamic. This is a great time to be thinking about what you hope to gain from therapy and how I can best support you along the way.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strengths include a warm and welcoming approach, openness and willingness to meet you where you are at, listening attentively, and collaborating with clients. Use of humor and lightheartedness at times can be an addition to our work, when appropriate. It is my hope that you will feel comfortable to be yourself in therapy!

Together we can hold space for you to explore what is working well and areas that could use support or a new approach.
