Hi there, I'm Christine. Are you feeling overwhelmed by the stressors of life, perhaps worsened by less than ideal relationships with those close to you? Do you feel held back by your past, or stuck in the same unhelpful cycles, unable to move forward in a productive way? I help individuals, couples, and families establish a new way of living that is more positive, healthier, and sustainable, so that they can enjoy greater satisfaction in their lives. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Together, we'll identify ways to utilize your strengths and resources to find applicable solutions and greater healing. Whether you're dealing with relationship issues, family conflicts, or life changes, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can be daunting, but you're making the right choice to take the first step. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. I'm here to support you and empower you on your journey. Let's get started!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the initial stage of therapy (usually the first few sessions), the focus will be on exploring the various aspects of the issues that brought you to therapy. Once we have a good understanding of those issues, the next step is to create a treatment plan based on what I think would be most effective in addressing them. During the main stage of therapy, we will use different techniques and interventions to reach the goals we've set in the treatment plan. When you are satisfied with the progress we've made, we will re-evaluate the treatment plan to either set new goals, or to then discuss moving to the termination stage. During this last stage, we review the work we've done and identify ways to make those gains long-lasting before concluding our work together for the time being.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use a systemic and holistic lens to more deeply understand the many facets that play a role. Then, I tailor our treatment plan and approach to meet your specific needs. I believe that each client and situation is unique and will choose the most appropriate method, which sometimes may be a combination of approaches. Some treatment methods I commonly use include Solution-focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, EFT, Gottman, Bowenian FT, and Strategic FT.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist originally trained in Marriage and Family Therapy, I am able to address those kinds of specific issues. However, the true value of my training comes from being able to see all the systems that play a role, which is invaluable in working even with individuals. As an Asian American, I am intimately familiar with the unique perspectives and challenges our communities often face. Living and working with a large POC population has afforded me a wider multicultural lens as well. Additionally, as a Christian, I chose to do my graduate studies at an institution that allowed me to become a fully trained and licensed mental health professional, but also with the integration of faith. At your request, I can help guide, encourage, and process your faith journey with you.
