LPC, 8 years of experience
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and New Jersey. I graduated from Neumann University in Pennsylvania with a M.S. in Pastoral Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have been practicing for eight years. I help adults gain insight to a variety of life's problems through an ecumenical and wholistic approach. I assist clients with the development of tools and coping skills to better manage life's complications.
In our first session, expect a brief introduction and an overview of the therapy process. I will ask questions to gain a wholistic understanding of your challenges, roadblocks, and needs. This will help us to develop an individualized plan to address your concerns throughout therapy.
I provide a relaxed and judgement free atmosphere. My goal is to make you feel comfortable and to help you gain insight, tools, and skills to reach your full potential.
My clients are motivated for change and are ready to examine their thoughts and behaviors. They are open to new ways of managing and resolving issues so they can reach their full potential.

Working with Marcy has been such a blessing. She’s incredibly genuine and warm—talking to her feels like chatting with a sister or a best friend. There’s something so comforting about the way she listens and responds; it makes it so easy to open up and navigate through even the hardest conversations. I truly feel seen and supported in every session, and I always leave feeling lighter and more understood. I’m so grateful to have found her!

I have taken therapy before and I could not connect with the therapist in the ay I felt I should have been able to. Marcy has been a God-send and has really made me look at things from a different perspective so that I can accomplish the goals that I have set out to make. She shows me that she cares about helping me pull the bests parts of me out. I really appreciate all she has done for me in this short period of time. I look forward to my journey now instead of being intimidated by it.
I have been using CBT for the past eight years in therapy to help clients gain understanding of how their thoughts, emotions, and behavior are connected. This insight helps clients to re-examine unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, communication issues, and other problematic circumstances.
In combination with CBT, I practice a Person-Centered approach. Using Person-Centered therapy, Clients and I explore incongruities between their ideal self and lived reality. I then assist Clients with reconciling these two selves using an empathetic, judgement-free, genuine, and compassionate approach that releases expectations and allows Clients to develop to their full potential.
