I’m Tiffany Walker, LCSW, a trauma-informed therapist and wellness strategist who works with high-achieving Black women and BIPOC professionals healing from racialized stress, workplace harm, and life transitions. My approach is integrative and somatic, combining evidence-based therapy with reflective, restorative practices that support nervous system regulation, self-trust, and sustainable well-being. I specialize in helping clients move out of survival mode and into lives shaped by clarity, safety, and agency. Our work centers your whole self — mind, body, and spirit — and supports you in reclaiming peace not as a reward, but as a foundation.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll slow things down and take time to get to know each other. I’ll gather some background about your life, experiences, and what’s bringing you to therapy now. Together, we’ll begin identifying what safety and support look like for you and outline the goals you’d like to work toward. This initial session isn’t about resolving everything. The first session is the anchor for a longer journey of healing, restoration, and growth that we’ll navigate at your pace.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What stands out about my approach is its balance of safety and honesty. I combine trauma-informed and somatic methods with reflective, truth-centered dialogue that invites insight, agency, and forward movement. My work is particularly attuned to Black women and BIPOC professionals navigating racialized, workplace, and identity-based stress. Clients often experience our sessions as both grounding and activating; a space where they feel deeply seen while gaining clarity and momentum toward wholeness and sovereignty.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are high-achieving Black women and BIPOC professionals who have spent years navigating demanding academic, corporate, nonprofit, or leadership spaces while carrying unspoken stress, racialized trauma, and perfectionism rooted in survival. Professionally, they are capable, trusted, and often positioned as leaders or high performers. Personally, many have been parentified early — the responsible one, the over-giver, the eldest daughter, or the emotional anchor in their families and communities. They are often the ones others rely on to keep things running smoothly, anticipate needs, and hold complexity without complaint. While this strength has helped them succeed, it has also made it difficult to rest, ask for help, or prioritize themselves without guilt. Beneath the surface, they may be navigating burnout, identity fatigue, suppressed anger or grief, and a longing for care that does not require justification. I work best with clients who are ready to stop overfunctioning and begin listening to their bodies, boundaries, and inner wisdom. This includes those who want to untangle survival-based roles learned in childhood and reinforced in adulthood, release the belief that worth is tied to self-sacrifice, and rebuild their lives from a place of self-trust rather than obligation. Together, we focus on restoring emotional safety, developing clearer boundaries, and cultivating a way of living that allows for both ambition and rest. Ultimately, my work supports clients in moving from endurance to embodiment; creating lives that feel grounded, spacious, and aligned, where peace is not postponed and success no longer comes at the cost of their well-being.
Trauma Informed Care
I believe healing begins with safety. I take a trauma-informed approach that honors each client’s pace and story, helping you rebuild trust in yourself and your environment. Together, we focus on awareness, regulation, and restoring your sense of agency.
Narrative
Your story matters. Through narrative work, we unpack the stories that shaped your identity and write new ones centered on healing, freedom, and self-definition.
Strength-Based
I believe you already carry the resilience and wisdom needed for change. We’ll identify and build upon your existing strengths to create progress that feels empowering and self-defined.
Somatic
Because the body carries both memory and wisdom, I integrate somatic practices that focus on identifying and tracking emotions as they are experienced in the body. This may include noticing shifts in breath, muscle tension, posture, or internal sensations and exploring what those signals communicate. This process supports regulation, deepens self-awareness, and helps clients respond to themselves with greater clarity and compassion.
Racial trauma treatment
As a Black woman clinician, I hold deep respect for the ways systems impact wellness. I help clients process and heal from the cumulative impact of racial harm, workplace trauma, and generational wounds. This work centers safety, self-restoration, and reclaiming joy as an act of resistance and recovery.

Stephanie was very approachable. She listened well.. She was able to follow my story, even though my mind was all over the place.. She was thoughtful and spot on giving me alternate ways to deal with what I am currently experiencing. She delivered her message with a smile and.offered suggestions along with things that I could work on until our next session.
