New to Grow
I am a psychotherapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, identity shifts, relationship changes, burnout, career shifts, postpartum adjustment and periods of uncertainty. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck in worry, or unsure of how to move forward during challenging seasons of life. I am passionate about helping people better understand themselves, build confidence in themselves, and develop tools to feel more grounded and in control. As a BIPOC clinician, I value providing culturally responsive and affirming care for individuals from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, respected, and supported as you work toward meaningful change.
In our first session, you can expect a thoughtful and welcoming conversation. We’ll explore what has led you here, what feels heavy right now, and what you hope might shift over time. I’ll also gather some background information to better understand your story and the context around your current challenges. This helps us build a strong foundation before moving deeper into the work. Most importantly, this first meeting is about creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and not alone in what you’re carrying.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in curiosity. I believe therapy is a space to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and gently explore the patterns that shape how you move through the world. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, and motivational interviewing, blending practical tools with deeper reflection so that growth feels both meaningful and sustainable. We work together at a pace that feels steady and supportive, with room for honesty, vulnerability, and real change.
I primarily support people who are navigating transitions in identity, relationships, work, and family life. Whether you are adjusting to motherhood, experiencing burnout, shifting careers, redefining purpose, or simply feeling lost in a season that no longer fits, you deserve a space to process it. These chapters can bring anxiety, grief, loneliness, or a sense of not feeling like yourself. In our work together, we create room to explore what is changing, what feels heavy, and what you want next.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I incorporate DBT to help clients build practical skills for managing intense emotions, reducing impulsive behaviors, and improving relationships. I use DBT skills such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness within individual sessions, integrating them into real-life situations clients are navigating. My approach focuses on balancing validation with change, helping clients accept their current experiences while building the tools needed to respond more effectively.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and low self-worth. Through collaborative exploration, we examine the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop more balanced, realistic perspectives. I often integrate CBT with trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches to ensure interventions feel empowering rather than invalidating.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I incorporate ACT to help clients develop psychological flexibility and move toward meaningful, values-driven lives. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, I support clients in building awareness of their internal experiences, practicing acceptance, and reducing avoidance patterns. I frequently use values clarification, cognitive defusion, and present-moment awareness to help clients take committed action aligned with who they want to be.
Motivational Interviewing
I use MI to support clients who feel ambivalent about change or unsure of their next steps. Through collaborative, non-judgmental dialogue, I help clients explore their own motivations, values, and readiness for change. My approach emphasizes autonomy, evoking internal motivation rather than imposing solutions, and is especially helpful when clients feel stuck, resistant, or overwhelmed.
EMDR
I integrate EMDR-informed techniques, particularly in the areas of resourcing, stabilization, and preparation. I help clients strengthen internal resources, build emotional regulation skills, and develop coping capacity before engaging in deeper trauma processing. My approach prioritizes safety and nervous system regulation, ensuring clients feel grounded and supported in their healing process.
