New to Grow
I help individuals and couples who feel weighed down by anxiety, stress, or relationship struggles find relief and a renewed sense of balance. My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative — together we’ll uncover the patterns holding you back and build tools that truly fit your life. Whether you’re looking for calm, clarity, or stronger connections, I provide a safe space where healing and growth can begin.
In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you — not just the challenges you’re facing, but also your strengths, values, and hopes for therapy. We’ll talk about what brings you here, explore what you’d like to work on, and begin creating a plan together. I’ll ask questions to understand your story, but there’s no pressure — you set the pace. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling heard, supported, and encouraged that you don’t have to do this alone.
What clients often notice about my approach is the balance of warmth and practicality. I combine evidence-based methods like CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed practices with a compassionate, down-to-earth style.
Many of my clients come in feeling overwhelmed, second-guessing themselves, or unsure how to move forward — but they also carry a hope that things can be different. If your goals include finding calm, improving communication, rebuilding trust, or simply feeling more at peace in your own skin, I’d love to walk alongside you in that journey.
I focus on cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, skills practice, and—when appropriate—gradual exposure. Brief between-session exercises (10–15 min/day) help you apply changes in real life. I flexibly integrate ACT/DBT elements and tailor care to your culture, language, and pace. Many goals improve within 8–16 sessions.
I ask open questions, reflect what I hear, and we check—on a 0–10 scale—how important and doable a change feels. With your okay, I share brief info and then we choose one small, realistic next step. We often connect this to practical skills from CBT/ACT/DBT. Each session, we review what worked and adjust the plan.
