(she/her)
I am a bilingual mental health counselor with a background in Clinical Psychology and specialized training in trauma-informed care, cultural competency, and stress management. I provide therapy in both English and Spanish, offering a warm, direct, and collaborative approach that supports clients through anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relational challenges. My goal is to create a safe and affirming space where clients feel understood and empowered to make meaningful changes.
During the first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and understanding what brought you to therapy. I will ask about your background, current challenges, and goals to get a full picture of your needs. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions about the therapy process and decide if we’re a good fit. Together, we’ll start exploring your concerns and develop a plan for moving forward that feels comfortable and supportive for you.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to build a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship through empathy, cultural sensitivity, and genuine warmth. I combine evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with humanistic and existential techniques to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and values. Clients often appreciate my direct yet compassionate style, which helps them feel supported while also challenged to grow, leading to meaningful and lasting changes.
My ideal clients are adolescents and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, or relationship challenges. I especially enjoy working with shy teens, trauma survivors, LGBTQ+ individuals, and Spanish-speaking clients who are looking for a therapist who understands the importance of culture, identity, and emotional safety. My clients are often seeking a warm, supportive space where they can explore their experiences, gain insight, and learn practical tools to feel more grounded and empowered in their lives.
With a background in Clinical Psychology, I have received formal training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and regularly use it in my work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, build coping skills, and develop more adaptive behaviors. My approach is culturally responsive and tailored to each client’s needs, often integrating mindfulness to support emotional regulation.
I also incorporate existential techniques to support clients in exploring meaning, personal values, and life choices. I help clients reflect on themes such as identity, freedom, responsibility, and the search for purpose—especially during times of transition or emotional distress. This approach encourages deeper self-awareness and empowers clients to live more authentically and intentionally.
I incorporate humanistic techniques to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. I focus on the therapeutic relationship, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard to foster personal growth and self-acceptance. This approach helps clients reconnect with their inner strengths and make meaningful changes aligned with their true selves.
