LCSW, 33 years of experience
I'm a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in California and received my master's degree at the University of California, Berkeley. My experience is with individual adults, couples, and seniors. I have been a therapist for more than 30 years in a variety of settings, helping clients with relationship issues, work-related stress, family issues, and life decisions and transitions. I have experience with clients from many different backgrounds.
In the first session, we will talk about the issues that are bringing you to therapy, the ways you have tried to solve those problems, and your history. It is an opportunity to see if we are a good fit and to ask any questions you may have about therapy and my therapeutic approach and experience. We will discuss treatment goals and how we will move forward.
Through my experience with many clients, I have developed the ability to listen carefully and help clients identify the roots of their issues so that they can make changes and grow.
I enjoy working with people who are motivated to make positive changes in their lives and are curious about their own minds and behavior.
I was trained in a psychodynamic clinic for ten years. Psychodynamic therapy helps people understand how their lived experiences affect their current daily lives, and enables them to change patterns that are no longer serving them.
In couples counseling, the focus is on helping couples express their emotional needs more effectively and deepen their attachment bond.
