Hi, I have been meeting with individual clients, families, and couples, as a clinician for a decade. I am honored to have the privilege of engaging with individuals from all different walks of life. I understand the importance of establishing trust in the therapeutic relationship. It is my hope that the therapeutic alliance between a client and therapist fosters a safe and trusting environment allowing individuals to share without fear of judgement.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our initial session I place importance on getting to know you and understanding what has motivated you to seek therapeutic supports. I spend our first and sometimes second sessions asking questions and evaluating clients' individual needs. I know that every client has a unique learning style, so once we have identified your individual needs and learning style together we will determine your treatment goals. The treatment goals will guide us together in the collaborative therapeutic relationship.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe that a direct, honest approach, as a therapist, is my strength. I have a strong sense of humor and find that humor is a helpful therapeutic tool enabling us to understand ourselves within the context of our lives and in the world. I think that often we have to laugh at our circumstances or we might be crying all the time. Regarding results, it is difficult to list or share specific individual results due to the uniqueness of each individual and their situation. I believe that the most important method or result is the one that works for you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I began my work in the mental health field after receiving my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I have worked extensively with individuals identifying as Neurodivergent. My initial roles in the mental health field included crisis counselor, interventionist and coordinator. Prior to receiving my Master's degree and becoming licensed I worked in a variety of settings such as in residential treatment centers, in the community and in schools. I enjoy utilizing many modalities as a clinician and have found that experiential modalities or non-traditional modalities can be an empowering therapeutic tool for certain individuals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a psychotherapist practitioner I rely on evidence based therapy methods to guide client sessions and therapeutic alliance in my practice. My primary methods include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also utilize therapeutic methodologies such as Art Therapy, Mindfulness and Internal Family Systems modalities.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I utilize DBT therapeutic techniques to support those looking to manage intense emotions, substance use disorders, depression, PTSD, anxiety, and ADHD.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is a helpful treatment for those focused on healing wounded parts, fostering internal harmony, reducing conflict, trauma and for transforming extreme behaviors.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness based therapy is helpful for reducing anxiety, providing inner calm and focus and quieting overactive or repetative thoughts and thought processes.
