I am a licensed therapist, educator, and mediator with more than 30 years of professional experience helping people navigate life’s challenges, transitions, and personal growth. My work is grounded in the belief that mental health does not exist in isolation, it is influenced by our relationships, environments, physical well-being, communities, and life experiences. I take a Total Health approach, helping clients understand the connections between mind, body, relationships, and the systems that shape their daily lives. My style is warm, collaborative, and practical, creating a space where clients can gain insight, build resilience, and move toward meaningful and lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I am interested in learning about you as a whole person, your experiences, relationships, strengths, challenges, and the environments that have shaped your life. Together, we will begin exploring the patterns and systems influencing your well-being. In our following session, we will take a deeper look at your values and use them as a compass for our work together. My goal is to help you move beyond simply reducing distress and toward creating a life that feels more aligned, intentional, and fulfilling.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often tell me they appreciate my ability to see both the individual and the bigger picture. While many approaches focus primarily on symptoms, I help clients understand how their relationships, habits, environments, culture, work, and life experiences influence their emotional well-being. I balance empathy with honest reflection, creating a space that is supportive while also encouraging growth. Drawing from my experience as a therapist, educator, and mediator, I help clients develop greater self-awareness, strengthen emotional resilience, improve communication, and build practical strategies for lasting change. My goal is not simply to help people feel better, but to help them function better, connect better, and live more intentionally.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I best work with humans who are ready (as much as one can be!) to better understand themselves, break old patterns, and create meaningful change. While we often focus on thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, I also help clients explore the larger systems influencing their well-being, including relationships, work environments, community, culture and lifestyle factors. I believe many struggles make more sense when viewed in context rather than in isolation. My approach is collaborative, practical, and growth-oriented, helping clients increase self-awareness, strengthen resilience, improve relationships, and create sustainable change. I work well with people who are curious, reflective, and interested in understanding the connection between mind, body, relationships, and environment as they move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life. I call this Total Health.

My treatment methods

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapeutic approach that helps people understand and relate to the different "parts" of themselves, such as the anxious part, the critical part, the people-pleasing part, or the part that wants to avoid pain. Rather than trying to get rid of these parts, IFS helps us become curious about them and understand the roles they have taken on to protect us. Through this process, clients learn to access their core Self, a calm, compassionate, and grounded state, from which healing and lasting change can occur.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is a brain-body focused approach that helps people access and process experiences, emotions, beliefs, and patterns that may be held beyond conscious awareness. By identifying specific eye positions, or "brainspots," clients can connect more deeply with their internal experience while the brain naturally processes and integrates information. Brainspotting can be used to support emotional healing, performance enhancement, creativity, personal growth, stress reduction, and overall well-being by working with the brain's innate capacity for self-regulation and change.

Somatic

Somatic therapy is an approach that recognizes that our thoughts, emotions, and life experiences are not only stored in the mind but are also reflected in the body. It helps clients develop awareness of physical sensations, nervous system responses, and patterns of tension or activation, using the body as a source of information and healing. Through gentle attention to bodily experiences, clients can build greater self-regulation, resilience, emotional well-being, and a stronger connection to themselves.
