I have served the community as a licensed professional counselor for over 20 years working with clients who are professional, military, students, and average layman. My background includes working in the education system for 18 years as an educator, school and college counselor. My desire is to help you to heal, learn new skills to cope, and reach your goals.

I use an eclectic approach that is client-centered to build a relationship based on acceptance and trust. Cognitive behavioral therapy is used to change responses to negative thinking. You may have homework to do that includes journaling, reading, or practicing new behaviors. I also use a natural approach, recommending foods and supplements. Making minor changes in diet may improve symptoms. Other approaches are evidence based including RET, ETT, brief therapy, DBT, and existential therapy depending on the client’s needs.
My strength is knowledge, experience, and compassion in counseling others. I strive to grow and expand my knowledge to understand and meet the needs of my clients. Yet, it is through a healthy compassionate relationship that change occurs.
