Hi, I’m Melissa, a licensed therapist who works with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. I take a neurodivergent-affirming, strengths-based approach and integrate CBT and ACT to help clients build emotional awareness, confidence, and real-life coping skills. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported in becoming your most authentic self.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel nerve-wracking, but my goal is to make your first session feel comfortable, supportive, and even a little relieving. I take a down-to-earth, friendly approach and aim to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are — no pressure to have everything figured out. In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other. You’ll have the opportunity to share what brought you to therapy, what’s been feeling challenging, and what you’re hoping to work on. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your experiences, but this is always a conversation — not an interrogation. We’ll also talk about your goals for therapy and what support might look like for you. Many clients leave their first session feeling heard, validated, and a bit lighter, knowing they don’t have to carry everything alone anymore.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to create a warm, non-judgmental, and supportive space where clients feel truly heard and understood. I am known for being approachable, friendly, and easy to talk to, which helps clients feel comfortable opening up and sharing their experiences honestly. I prioritize building strong therapeutic relationships rooted in trust, empathy, and emotional safety. I strive to validate each client’s unique experiences while also gently supporting growth and positive change. My style is collaborative and down-to-earth, and I believe meaningful progress happens when clients feel accepted for who they are while being encouraged to move toward who they want to become. I am especially skilled at working with individuals who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally stuck, and I take pride in helping clients develop insight, emotional awareness, and confidence in their ability to navigate life’s challenges.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adolescents and adults who are navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, grief, and major life transitions. Many of my clients identify as neurodivergent or highly sensitive and are seeking a supportive, affirming space to better understand their emotions, build confidence, and develop effective coping skills. I also support women experiencing identity shifts, burnout, or relationship challenges, as well as men who are working on emotional regulation and personal growth. My goal is to provide a warm, collaborative environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported in creating meaningful change.
