New to Grow
Hello, I’m Joanna, a compassionate and experienced therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in working with individuals who are struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, life stressors, co-dependency, relationship issues, low self-esteem, emotional regulation, and more. In our work together, I provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can explore your challenges, gain insights into your patterns, and develop practical tools to create meaningful change. My approach is tailored to your unique needs, helping you gain clarity, build resilience, and grow. I am advancing my education by pursuing a doctorate to further enhance my expertise. I earned my degrees from NKU with honors, specializing in Trauma-Informed Care. I understand that life can feel overwhelming, and I am committed to supporting you in strengthening the areas that matter most to you. Additionally, I offer a wide variety of modalities. Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, but I’m here to help you identify and overcome the challenges you’re facing. My principle is built on the 3 E’s: Empathy, Encouragement, and Empowerment. I believe that these principles are the key to achieving positive outcomes, and by being here today, you’ve already taken an important first step. Now let's work together for a better tomorrow!
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and building a comfortable, trusting connection. I’ll ask questions to learn more about your goals, background, and what brings you to therapy. Together, we’ll discuss what you hope to achieve and begin creating a plan that fits your needs. It’s a relaxed, judgment-free space where you can share at your own pace.
My greatest strengths include building strong therapeutic relationships and creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood and empowered. What stands out about my approach is my ability to blend evidence-based methods—such as CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing—with empathy and authenticity. I focus on helping clients develop practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, and make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives.
My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to work on personal growth, manage life stressors, and improve their emotional well-being. I’m best suited to support those struggling with relationship issues, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, ADHD, or life transitions, helping them build healthier coping skills, improve focus, and manage emotions. I work well with clients who are open to self-reflection and motivated to create lasting, positive change in their lives.
I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge negative thoughts that influence emotions and behaviors. In my practice, I use CBT techniques like thought reframing, behavioral activation, and coping skill development to promote healthier thinking patterns and emotional regulation. It’s a goal-focused, practical approach that empowers clients to create lasting change.
