New to Grow
Hi! I’m Sara. It’s really great to see you here. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when it involves revisiting hard or painful experiences. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and paced in a way that feels manageable. I’ll walk alongside you— helping you process what you’ve been carrying, make sense of your experiences, and develop tools that feel realistic and supportive in your day-to-day life. We’ll focus on what matters most to you, moving in a way that feels steady and not overwhelming. My goal is for therapy to feel like a place where you can breathe a little easier and begin to move forward in a way that feels right for you.
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you, such as what challenges bring you to therapy and what you’d like to feel different in your life. We’ll talk through how these challenges are impacting your day-to-day, and what you’re hoping to gain from this process. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once.
I bring warmth, patience, and a steady presence into our work together. I aim to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, while also feeling supported in moving forward. I’ll meet you with empathy and understanding, while gently helping you build insight, challenge patterns, and develop tools that feel meaningful and doable. I value creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and not judged.
I work with adults who are ready to move toward change, whether that means processing the past, building new coping skills, or creating a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling. You don’t have to be “fully ready,” just open to beginning. Many of the clients I work with are navigating anxiety, life transitions, or lingering effects of trauma, and want to feel more in control, connected, and at ease in their day-to-day lives. They may not have all the answers yet, but they’re open to exploring and creating meaningful change.
Trauma Informed Care
My work is grounded in a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes emotional safety, trust, and choice. I have experience supporting clients in understanding how past experiences impact their current thoughts, emotions, and relationships. In sessions, I move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, incorporating approaches like EMDR and skills-based strategies when appropriate, while always centering your autonomy and sense of control throughout the healing process.
