Hi, I’m Olajumoke Adeyemi, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). DOES NOT PRESCRIBE Stimulants(Adderall, Modafinil, Concerta, Vyvanse, Focalin, Ritalin) and Benzodiazepine(Xanax, Ativan , Klonopin). As a board-certified psychiatric provider, I specialize in evidence-based medication management and compassionate mental-health care for individuals of all genders, backgrounds, and identities via Telehealth. My approach integrates medical expertise with a deep understanding of the human experience — offering support for those navigating anxiety, depression, OCD , Panic disorder, ADHD, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, Postpartum depression and premenstrual dysphoria. My approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented—I strive to create a safe space where you feel heard while also equipping you with practical tools to improve your day-to-day well-being. Her background as a nurse practitioner allows her to integrate medication medication management & supportive psychotherapy. While I strive to provide comprehensive and compassionate care, there are certain situations where a higher level of care or specialized services may be more appropriate than outpatient telehealth treatment: Higher Acuity Needs Requiring Intensive Care Active suicidal ideation with intent or plan Active psychosis, including hallucinations, delusions, or significant disorganization Severe mood episodes requiring close monitoring (e.g., acute mania or severe depression with impaired reality testing) Residential or intensive outpatient substance use treatment Comprehensive evaluation or intensive support for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Specialized interventions for learning disorders or significant cognitive impairments Services requiring multidisciplinary coordination (e.g., ABA therapy, neuropsychological testing, or academic accommodations) Provider can't complete, fill out, or sign assessments, or forms that require evaluation for eligibility, disability, accommodations, or legal/administrative purpose: Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) paperwork Leave of Absence (LOA) forms Social Security Disability (SSD) evaluations Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letters or paperwork Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) evaluations Custodial or forensic evaluations Fitness for duty / return-to-work forms Housing, accommodation, or accessibility evaluations
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, trusting therapeutic relationship. I will take time to understand your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and what has been most challenging for you. We’ll talk about what brought you in, how it’s impacting your daily life, and what you hope to gain from treatment. I’ll ask questions about your mental health history, medical background, current stressors, and any previous treatments or medications. If appropriate, we may also discuss whether medication could be helpful and review options together. Throughout the session, I aim to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported. You don’t need to have everything figured out—this is a collaborative process, and we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. By the end of the session, we’ll begin to outline a personalized treatment plan, which may include therapy goals, coping strategies, and next steps. I also like to ensure you leave with a clearer understanding of how I work and what ongoing sessions will look like.
What sets my approach apart is the balance I provide between structured, evidence-based care and a genuinely human, supportive connection. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with Humanistic Therapy, which means you not only gain practical tools to manage symptoms, but also feel deeply heard and understood throughout the process. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I tailor treatment to each individual, focusing on what is most relevant to your experiences, goals, and readiness for change. Sessions are collaborative and goal-oriented, while still allowing space for meaningful emotional processing. Clients often notice that I am both empathetic and direct. I will support you, but I will also gently challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck. My work is grounded in helping you: Identify and reframe negative or distorted thinking Build effective coping and emotional regulation skills Improve daily functioning, motivation, and clarity Strengthen boundaries and communication I also incorporate practical tools you can apply outside of sessions, so progress continues beyond our time together. Clients who engage in this process often report: Reduced anxiety and improved mood stability Increased self-awareness and confidence Better control over intrusive or overwhelming thoughts Improved productivity and ability to complete daily tasks Healthier relationships and communication patterns Overall Philosophy My goal is not just symptom relief, but helping you develop lasting skills and insight so you can navigate future challenges with greater resilience and independence.
I frequently work with clients who are experiencing: Chronic anxiety, excessive worry, or panic symptoms Depressive symptoms such as low mood, low motivation, and loss of interest Trauma, unresolved emotional pain, or difficulty letting go of the past Relationship stress, boundary-setting challenges, and communication difficulties Workplace stress, burnout, or imposter syndrome Difficulty with focus, organization, or task completion (including ADHD-related concerns) Life transitions such as postpartum adjustment, career changes, or changes in identity
