My name is Julie Burke and I graduated from Ga State University with a master’s in nursing. I am board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist. I have been in private practice setting since 2012. I opened my own practice in collaboration with Dr. Jennifer Richason. I believe a good relationship, mutual understanding and genuinely caring for my clients provides the best opportunity for success. I offer both in person and virtual appointments. I was born and raised in Carroll County. I am married with 3 grown children and 1 grandchild. My hobbies include baking, horseback riding and spending time with my family. I think a good work life balance is imperative in this day and time so I work 3-4 days a week.

I provide a thorough clinical history evaluation, diagnosis and medication management. I also provide brief psychotherapy, relapse prevention and education on pertinent topics
I feel my biggest strength is truly caring for my clients, listening to them and trying to help however I can. I have been in psychiatry for almost 30 years and have a multitude of experience both inpatient and outpatient settings. I have worked with children, adolescents and adults. I have experience with depression, anxiety, trauma, ADD/ADHD, Bipolar, substance abuse and autism.
