LCSW, 20 years of experience
Hi. My name is Scott Natale, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2006. I am happy you are considering a more satisfying way of life. Believe me, it is my pleasure to help you do that. Together, we can look at disappointments, core beliefs that support dysfunction, and determine the best way out. All you that will be asked of you is to participate in therapy with the courage and honesty needed to be truthful about what is getting in the way of achieving your goals, be willing to cope with fear and learn something new. In addition, along the way we will practice guided meditation and visualization with progressive muscle relaxation as a means to facilitate improved focus and mindfulness. Be well and hope to meet soon!
In our first session we will take some time to get to know each other, establish the focus of our sessions and goal setting as well as cognitive behavioral means for treatment.
My biggest strength as a therapist is empathy, my ability to not take things personally at work and provide undivided attention to foster increased understanding and a feeling of being heard.
Trauma. PTSD. Anger Management. Self Esteem and depression. My primary aim and interest is to work with patients who are willing and interested to participate in talk therapy and treatment planning.

Scott was receptive, non-judgmental, and accepting. He validated my concerns and gave each of them the same weight that I did. I felt that he made a strong effort to empathize with my point of view. When he missed something, he was eager to get on the same page as me. Overall an experienced and professional therapist.

I have been working with Scott since the beginning of this year and he has been great to speak to about my evolving needs and has been great at giving solution oriented approaches to my issues and how to navigate to the next chapter of my life. Would recommend Scott to anyone seeking to grow or move on to a new chapter of their life.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an effective tool to identify core beliefs and changing automatic thoughts that support depression and anxiety. It has been and continues to be a central part of my work in therapy with patients of many different backgrounds and presenting concerns.
Psychodynamic treatment involves the role of important interpersonal relationships in the development of trust v mistrust, acceptance v rejection and connection v alienation as well as the impact of sensitive and consistent behavior in helping a patient to correct issues related to these stages that were not completed successfully in the past.
A guiding practice for effective therapy to allow the patient to explore and discuss their natural ability to navigate psychological stress and explore options without concern about judgment.
Goal setting is very important to effective therapy, of course, and the most useful goals are devised from where the patient wants to go and to take note of behaviors that get in the way of goal attainment...resolve the discrepancy.
