Diana Wilson
Thank you for considering me as your therapist. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience working in schools, hospitals, non-profit organizations, and community mental health settings. I work with adults ages 18 to 99 navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, relationship and family concerns, life transitions, and personal growth. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in the belief that people are doing the best they can with the tools, experiences, and resources available to them. Drawing from DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), I support clients in increasing awareness, building on existing strengths, and developing practical skills to navigate life's challenges.
I want you to know that reaching out to talk about your emotions and needs is a significant step, and I'm here to support you every step of the way.
My work is grounded in an understanding of the connection between the brain, body, emotions, relationships, and environment. Together, we explore how your brain, body, life experiences, and relationships influence your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and overall well-being, creating opportunities for meaningful and sustainable change. Therapy is a collaborative process, and finding the right fit is important. I encourage clients to ask questions, trust their instincts, and choose a therapist whose approach and style align with their needs, goals, and values.
First session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and determine whether we are a good fit. We'll explore what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain from the process, and the strengths, challenges, and experiences that have shaped your journey so far. You do not need to have all the answers. Together, we'll begin building awareness of the connections between your thoughts, emotions, physical responses, relationships, and life experiences while identifying practical steps that align with what matters most to you. Creating a respectful, supportive, and confidential environment is important to me. During our first session, I will review confidentiality, answer any questions you may have about the therapy process, and help you understand what to expect as we move forward together.
Strengths
I bring a combination of extensive clinical experience, curiosity, authenticity, and practicality to my work. Clients often appreciate my ability to help them connect the dots between their experiences, emotions, relationships, and daily challenges while also identifying realistic tools and strategies they can apply in everyday life. I have worked in the mental health field since 1997, have been licensed as a Clinical Social Worker since 2012, and have provided clinical supervision since 2014. My professional experience includes work in schools, hospitals, community mental health, and non-profit settings. I have extensive experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship and family concerns, and stress. I strive to create a collaborative environment where clients feel supported, challenged, and empowered to better understand themselves, build on their strengths, and move toward what matters most to them.
Ideal clients
I work with adults ages 18 to 99 who are navigating life's challenges and transitions, including anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, relationship and family concerns, and personal growth. Many of my clients are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, healthier relationships, greater balance, and practical tools to navigate life's complexities. Together, we increase awareness of how the brain, body, emotions, relationships, and life experiences are connected. As clients develop a stronger understanding of themselves, they are often better able to navigate relationships, life challenges, and the changes they want to make. I provide LGBTQIA+ affirming and gender-affirming care and welcome clients of all gender identities, sexual orientations, relationship structures, abilities, professions, cultures, and backgrounds. My goal is to create a space where you can show up as you are, explore what matters most to you, and feel respected and supported throughout the process.
