I’m a licensed therapist who works with adults managing anxiety, chronic stress, major life transitions, and the emotional impact of health or disability related changes. My style is practical, collaborative, and evidence based, focused on helping you build real coping skills, gain clarity, and feel more grounded in your day to day life. I offer a supportive, down to earth space where meaningful and lasting change can happen.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation for meaningful work together. It is not a test, an evaluation you need to prepare for, or a space where you are expected to have the right words. My goal in the first session is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported while we start to clarify what brings you to therapy and what you would like to change. We will begin by talking about what prompted you to seek therapy at this point in your life. This might include current stressors, emotional concerns, recent changes, or patterns you have noticed over time. You can share as much or as little as feels manageable. I will ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences, but the pace is always guided by your comfort level. We will also review practical and ethical basics, such as confidentiality, boundaries, and how therapy works. This helps create a clear and safe framework so you know what to expect from our work together. I believe transparency is an important part of building trust, especially in the early stages of therapy. During the session, we will explore your goals for therapy. Some clients come in with very specific goals, while others simply know they want to feel less overwhelmed, more balanced, or more like themselves again. Both are completely okay. Together, we will begin identifying what you would like to focus on and what progress might look like for you. Therapy with me is collaborative, meaning your goals and values guide the direction of our work. I may also ask about relevant background information, such as your work or caregiving responsibilities, health related concerns, major life transitions, and past experiences with therapy. This context helps me understand the bigger picture of your life and tailor my approach to your needs. You are always welcome to ask questions or clarify anything along the way. The first session is also an opportunity to talk about how I work and how we might approach your concerns. I use evidence based, practical strategies and will explain options in a clear, straightforward way. You will not be pressured to commit to a specific plan on day one. Instead, we will start identifying what feels most helpful and realistic for you. Many clients leave the first session feeling a sense of relief from being able to talk openly in a supportive space. Others feel thoughtful or reflective as they begin to see patterns more clearly. There is no s

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to combine warmth and empathy with structure and practical guidance. Clients often tell me they appreciate having a space that feels supportive and nonjudgmental while also being focused on real progress. I help people make sense of what they are experiencing and translate insight into concrete steps they can use in daily life. My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence based methods, including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused strategies, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and strengths based work. Rather than applying a one size fits all model, I tailor therapy to each client’s goals, values, and lived experience. This flexibility allows us to focus on what matters most and adjust as needs evolve. I am particularly skilled at working with adults who are managing anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, and major life or role transitions. I also bring a strong understanding of the emotional and identity related impact of health conditions, disability, and caregiving responsibilities. This background helps clients feel understood without having to explain or justify their experiences, and it allows therapy to address both emotional and practical challenges. Another key strength is my ability to help clients gain clarity. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of their next steps. I am effective at helping clients identify patterns in their thoughts and behaviors, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and reconnect with their strengths. Over time, this clarity supports greater confidence, emotional regulation, and decision making. Clients who work well with me often value a goal oriented approach. Together, we identify clear goals, track progress, and focus on skills that support long term change rather than short term relief alone. At the same time, I remain attentive to the emotional process, ensuring that therapy feels human, respectful, and attuned to each client’s pace. Overall, what stands out most about my work is the balance I bring between insight and action. I help clients feel heard and understood while also equipping them with tools to move forward. My goal is for therapy to feel useful, empowering, and sustainable, supporting clients in building lives that feel more balanced, grounded, and aligned with their values.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with adults who are navigating periods of transition, pressure, or uncertainty and want practical support that leads to real change. Many of the people I work with are managing anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, or the emotional impact of health related or disability related changes. They may feel stretched thin by work demands, caregiving responsibilities, or shifting roles and identities, and are looking for a space to pause, think clearly, and move forward with intention. I work especially well with clients who are high functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed internally. These individuals often describe themselves as responsible, capable, and used to holding things together for others, yet privately struggle with overthinking, emotional exhaustion, or a sense of being stuck. Therapy with me is a place to sort through those pressures without judgment and to develop tools that support balance, confidence, and emotional regulation. Clients who benefit most from working with me are motivated to understand themselves better and open to learning new skills. You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly what you want from therapy, but a willingness to reflect, engage, and try practical strategies between sessions helps create meaningful progress. My approach is collaborative and structured, offering guidance while respecting each client’s autonomy, values, and lived experience. I am particularly well suited to support adults adjusting to medical conditions, chronic illness, disability, or changes in physical or cognitive functioning. These experiences often bring grief, frustration, fear, and identity shifts that are not always visible to others. I help clients process these emotional responses while building coping strategies that support daily functioning, self advocacy, and quality of life. Therapy focuses on navigating what has changed, honoring what has been lost, and identifying ways to move forward with resilience and self compassion. I also work effectively with clients experiencing career related stress, burnout, or major professional transitions. This may include feeling unfulfilled at work, navigating job changes, returning to work after illness, or questioning long held goals and expectations. Therapy provides space to clarify priorities, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and build confidence around decision making, boundaries, and next steps. The focus is not on job placement or evaluati

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In sessions, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge cognitive distortions, and build practical coping and problem-solving skills. CBT in my practice is goal-focused, collaborative, and designed to support meaningful, sustainable change.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution Focused Therapy to help clients identify their strengths, clarify goals, and focus on practical steps toward change rather than dwelling on problems. Sessions emphasize what is already working, explore past successes, and build clear, achievable solutions clients can apply in their daily lives. This approach is collaborative, time efficient, and designed to support forward momentum and confidence.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness based approaches to help clients build awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical responses without judgment. In sessions, we focus on grounding techniques, present moment awareness, and stress reduction strategies that clients can use in daily life. Mindfulness in my practice supports emotional regulation, clarity, and resilience, particularly during periods of stress or transition.

Psychoeducation

I use psychoeducation to help clients better understand their mental health concerns, emotional patterns, and the mind body connection. Sessions include clear, practical information that empowers clients to make informed choices and apply coping strategies more effectively. Psychoeducation in my practice supports insight, confidence, and active participation in the therapeutic process.

Strength-Based

I use a strengths based approach to help clients identify and build upon their existing abilities, values, and sources of resilience. Sessions focus on recognizing what is working, reinforcing personal competencies, and applying strengths to current challenges. This approach supports confidence, empowerment, and sustainable progress.
