Hi, I’m Ashley, a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW-S) with 13 years of clinical experience in Ohio. I provide individual therapy specializing in neurodivergent adults (including ADHD, autistic individuals, and highly sensitive people) navigating life transitions, such as career changes, relationship shifts, parenthood, relocation, and identity shifts. I also support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, and self-doubt, as well as those seeking help with addiction, recovery, polyamorous relationships, and spiritual or meaning-centered growth. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and strengths-based, integrating cognitive-based mindfulness, psychodynamic insight, and values-based living. I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, better understand your patterns, and create a life that feels more aligned and sustainable.
You’ll be met with compassion, curiosity, and respect. We’ll begin by exploring what brought you to therapy, including current challenges such as anxiety, depression, overwhelm, or feeling stuck, as well as your goals for growth and change. Together, we’ll begin identifying practical tools to support emotional regulation, stress management, and daily functioning, while also exploring deeper patterns that may be impacting your sense of self, relationships, or direction. Whether you’re adjusting to a new chapter, working through burnout, or seeking greater clarity and purpose, our work will focus on helping you move forward with confidence and intention.
I bring my personality to our therapy sessions through curiosity, humor, and authentic sharing. I provide an empathetic, affirming, and non-judgmental demeanor that builds trust and allows for honest connection. Therapy goals tend to go beyond symptom management; rather, I can help you explore how to align your life with core values and aspirations toward well-being. I am passionate about exercise and nature; I often use holistic practices that encourage honest self-reflection and exploration. My work goes beyond symptom management, focusing on helping you gain insight, strengthen self-trust, and align your life with your core values. I integrate holistic practices, including mindfulness and a connection to nature, to support reflection and mind-body awareness. I believe meaningful change happens when we feel both understood and empowered.
I love working with adults during life's most significant transitions, such as career changes, new parenthood roles, relationship changes, aging parents, and divorces. I help others who may feel stuck in stress, self-doubt, or disconnection patterns and seek tools to cultivate resilience and joy. Are you seeking a warm, collaborative therapist who provides a safe space to explore your emotions and challenges without judgment? Schedule a session today!
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
Our environment and culture shape our individual experiences. I am knowledgeable of cultural differences in communication styles, boundaries, and expectations. Fostering a mutual sense of safety is a crucial piece to the therapeutic alliance.
Strength-Based
I use strength-based therapy to identify personal values, resources, and abilities to promote healing and growth. By highlighting one's positive qualities, I help to leverage strengths to foster a sense of self-efficacy and resilience, ultimately promoting a more positive and empowering therapeutic process.
Mind-body approach
It can be challenging to be present in the moment without judgment. Mind-body approaches help people develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations, fostering acceptance and self-compassion. By incorporating mindfulness techniques and somatic awareness, you can learn to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns in a more balanced, grounded way.
Positive Psychology
We live in a complex world. It is so easy to focus on negative things happening in our lives and environment. Using positive psychology, I will help you learn how to shift your mindset from a negative frame to a positive one to help you adjust your outlook on the events occurring in your life, even if you're unable to change the events.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients recognize unhelpful thoughts and replace them with actionable strategies, along with skills-based coaching and mindfulness practices. I help clients strengthen skills for managing daily life, including organization, time management, task initiation, and emotional regulation. Executive function challenges can affect work, school, relationships, and self-confidence, but with the right strategies, they are manageable. The goal is to help you feel more capable, confident, and in control, while honoring your unique way of thinking and problem-solving.
