New to Grow
I am Dr. Javon Williams, I have served as a mental health provider for seventeen years. I greatly enjoy the process of fostering insight and self awareness as a collaborative process with clients. I have worked with diverse groups, including military/veterans, adult-learners, and minority populations. I have successfully aided clients with managing the discomforts associated with anxiety, mood disorders, grief/loss, and addictive disease. I believe that all people are capable of change. My treatment specialties are Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Reality, and Person Centered Therapy. I am committed to completing continuing education as a lifelong process to facilitate best practices in the therapeutic process.
The first session may be anxiety provoking for most clients. It is important to normalize this emotion. This delicate time will be used to gather information and establish the therapeutic relationship. All questions, concerns, frustrations, and ideas will be encouraged. Additionally, initial therapeutic goals will be formulated in the best interest of the client to maximize client success.
I have maintained excellent client retention over a seventeen year career span linked to the comfortable therapeutic approach. I have and will continue to make use of evidence based practices that have supported positive treatment outcomes. I look forward to establishing additional short-term or long-term therapeutic relationships.
I am best positioned to serve clients who are seeking lifestyle changes. I believe that everyone is completely capable of reaching ultimate potential, given support and resources. My top priority is to provide a safe environment where supportive dialogue and clinical interventions may facilitate growth. I believe that establishing therapeutic goals is a collaborative process and the therapeutic relationship is significant.
I make use of this evidenced-based practice in collaboration with clients to facilitate positive treatment outcomes.
I highlight the recognition of multicultural factors in therapy to foster effective treatment outcomes.
I provide a safe and compassionate environment for patients to explore the multifaceted dimensions of grief and loss and the impacts on their lives.
