Are you looking for a safe space to identify and process your emotions? Searching for someone with whom to talk through stressors besides your family or friends? Interested in learning healthy coping skills to manage anxiety or better regulate your emotions? Want to talk to someone as you navigate a life transition or loss? I am a licensed clinical social worker. I am originally from Colorado, but have lived in Austin for the past 12 years. I received my Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families for a wide range of concerns including trauma history, anxiety, depression, and grief/loss. I am passionate about mental health and helping people.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
You can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space to express and process your emotions. My goal is to empower and equip you with tools and coping skills to reach your full potential and best manage your emotions and daily stressors. I hope you leave each session feeling heard and empowered.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I utilize evidence-based practices including trauma informed and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. I believe the rapport and therapeutic relationship can be the most powerful and effective method for improved mental health. I work from a person-centered, strengths-based perspective. I strive to practice cultural humility. I operate under the recognition that you are the expert of your own life.
