About me

Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania. If you're here feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or intimidated, therapy can be a huge first step to regaining a sense of control. I work with adults looking for support with the stresses and challenges in their life. I believe in the value of gaining an understanding of how past experiences impact present day challenges. This may look like uncovering insecurities, patterns, and habits that are difficult to recognize on your own. Together we can address these at a pace you feel comfortable with. I have experience helping clients with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, ADHD, grief, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

It's normal to feel nervous for a first session. In our first session, we'll focus on becoming acquainted with each other, getting information about concerns, and clarifying expectations for therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Providing a warm, comfortable, and non-judgmental space in therapy has always been my top priority. I do this by showing up to sessions not only as a therapist but as a person who isn't afraid to show their "humanness".

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with young adults going through life transitions such as job changes, schooling, and relationship issues . Young adulthood can be a time of feeling stressed, confused, anxious, and indecisive. This is exactly why having a safe space in therapy can be so rewarding and beneficial.

My treatment methods

Humanistic

I understand that every client I speak with has their own unique potential and abilities. I highlight this by getting to know a client as a person, which includes their values, motivations, and view on the world.

Eclectic

Therapy is not a "one size fits all" experience. It's important to tailor therapy to the person seeking it. This means that I combine various theories including but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness. All of these approaches involve changing the way that you think and react.

Supportive

I use supportive therapy to work on building self-esteem and confidence through active listening, emotional support, and validation. This can be helpful to find relief when there are immediate concerns and you may not feel ready to dive deep into trauma or changing your behaviors.
