Do you ever feel like no one will understand? Do you feel all alone in your struggles? As a licensed psychologist, I am trained to offer you competent, caring, and client-centered care. Clients reach out because they want to feel better and experience a happier and fuller life. There is HOPE. Instead of engaging in avoidant or unhealthy behaviors, clients come to me to learn new coping mechanisms to deal with stressors and various forms of suffering. I believe that individuals are too beautifully complex to be reduced to their struggles, and I offer a safe space for individuals to be themselves and go on a growth journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, clients get to be storytellers. I want to know about what brings them to therapy at this particular point in time. Just as I am trying to understand the presenting concerns, I am as interested in knowing about clients' strengths. It is during this first session that we begin to explore individualized treatment goals and form therapeutic rapport.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am thankful for the opportunities to work with clients from diverse backgrounds. I also incorporate appropriate humor in the sessions. Clients appreciate the space to cry and laugh in the same space. I am good at creating individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients. I know how to provide care to clients who either need short-term care, long-term care, or maintenance care.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My specialty areas include alcohol and/or substance misuse, grief, depression, anxiety, and relational issues.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT allows individuals to engage in both cognitive reframing and behavioral changes so that that they feel better.

Psychodynamic

Often times, our current experiences are significantly connected to earlier life experiences. Through an increased understanding of why we are the way that we are, we can have new healthier experiences with the self and others. Psychodynamic therapy is good for increasing understanding and having more positive current and future experiences.
