Hi there, I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) committed to working closely with my clients to relieve symptoms and support their journey toward lasting mental wellness. My own journey in Healthcare began as an ICU Nurse in 2013, and those years taught me the profound connection between the mind and body, and the importance of addressing both to achieve true healing. I work with a wide range of conditions—including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, and more—and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel truly heard. My approach is holistic and personalized. I believe mental health is influenced not only by biology, but also by lifestyle, environment, and life experiences. Together, we’ll look at the full picture to better understand what you’re going through and create a treatment plan that feels right for you. I offer medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and integrative/functional approaches to help address both symptoms and underlying causes. Reaching out for help can be a big step, and I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, respect, and collaboration. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you in your journey toward mental wellness.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment where they feel safe to share their experiences. We will discuss your main concerns and set goals. I will conduct a comprehensive assessment that includes your mental health and medical history, current symptoms, and relevant life experiences. My goal is that you leave feeling heard, supported, and reassured that you have a dedicated partner to navigate your mental health journey with.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe one of my greatest strengths as a provider is that I’m highly solution-oriented and believe that your care should evolve with you. If something isn’t working, we won’t stay stuck—we’ll reassess, adjust, and explore new options together. I value thinking outside the box and take an “all hands on deck” approach to wellness, drawing from a variety of tools to support meaningful progress. I’m especially passionate about functional medicine psychiatry, with a focus on looking beyond symptoms to better understand the “why” behind how you’re feeling, so that we can better guide treatment and effectively target symptoms. My goal is to help you find not just relief, but lasting and sustainable symptom remission and life balance.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve adults throughout the lifespan struggling with depression and other mood disorders, anxiety and OCD, PTSD (both acute and chronic/complex), adjustment disorders and difficult life transitions, and executive-functioning deficit conditions such as ADHD. I also welcome complex cases involving chronic medical illnesses and chronic pain conditions. My ideal clients are those who are open to symptom relief and healing through a more comprehensive and holistic lens, where we not only utilize medication when appropriate, but also consider the whole picture behind why your symptoms are present. I take an integrative approach, combining conventional psychiatry with functional medicine to better understand what you are going through and expand the ways we can support your healing journey and alleviate suffering. I additionally have a special interest in working with individuals with a history of complex trauma.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

Even as a primarily medication management clinician, I consider how complex, chronic, and acute trauma impacts patients on a biological level. In this way I am able to address patients and clients more holistically as we collaborate in building an individualized and unique care plan. I only want what benefits and helps my patients, and that can look different from person to person. I am here to meet you where you are and support you on your journey.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is the process of teaching patients about mental health conditions, emotions, behavior patterns, and coping strategies so they can better understand and manage their psychological well-being.

Strength-Based

Strength-based therapy is a counseling approach that focuses on a person’s strengths, abilities, values, and resources rather than mainly focusing on problems or weaknesses. Instead of asking, “What’s wrong with you?” it asks, “What’s strong in you?” This approach is based on the belief that everyone has resilience and the ability to grow and change. The therapist and client work together as partners, identifying past successes, coping skills, support systems, and personal qualities that can help overcome current challenges. Strength-based therapy is influenced by approaches like Positive Psychology, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, all of which emphasize hope, empowerment, and practical solutions. By building on what is already working, this type of therapy helps increase confidence, motivation, and long-term personal growth.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of therapy that helps people understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. It is based on the idea that negative or unhelpful thoughts can lead to difficult emotions and unhealthy behaviors. In CBT, a person learns to notice these thought patterns and replace them with more balanced and realistic ones. This can help improve mood and change behaviors in a positive way. CBT is practical and goal-focused, often involving learning new coping skills and practicing them in everyday life. It is commonly used to treat anxiety, depression, stress, and many other mental health concerns.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a short-term, goal-oriented type of therapy that focuses on finding solutions rather than analyzing problems. Instead of spending a lot of time exploring what caused the issue, the therapist helps the person identify what is already working in their life and how they can build on those strengths. SFBT encourages people to imagine their preferred future and set small, realistic goals to move toward it. Therapists often ask questions like the “miracle question” to help clients picture positive change. The approach is practical, hopeful, and centered on the belief that people already have the skills and resources needed to improve their situation.
