LMHC (he/him)16 years of experience

I’m a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC-D). I believe therapy works best when you can be honest about what’s happening without feeling judged or pressured to have everything figured out. My style is warm, straightforward, and collaborative. I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help you turn insight into changes you can use in everyday life. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship challenges, burnout, and life or career transitions. Many of my clients appear capable and dependable on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck on the inside. If you’re used to pushing through or putting others first, therapy can help you understand those patterns and make room for your own needs. I welcome clients of all genders, backgrounds, and identities, and consider how culture, family, relationships, and expectations shape your experience, with men’s mental health a particular focus of my practice. I recognize how hard it can be to seek support when you’ve learned that strength means handling everything alone. Over the past 16 years, I’ve helped clients build practical skills while exploring the deeper questions beneath their symptoms. My approach is person-centered and evidenced based. As a Certified DBT Provider, a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional and Registered Yoga Teacher, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness is used collaboratively to help manage anxiety, regulate emotions, communicate more effectively, set boundaries, or ease perfectionism and self-criticism. We’ll set goals together and adjust our work as your needs change. My hope is that you gain a clearer understanding of yourself, tools you trust, and more freedom to make choices that reflect your values. You don’t need a perfect explanation for why you’re here. We can start with what’s happening now and take it from there. Lets Talk

First session

Initial sessions will focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship and developing a shared understanding of your experiences, needs, and goals. Through collaborative assessment and exploration, we will identify what matters most to you and create meaningful objectives for our work together. From there, therapy will proceed at a pace that respects your needs while supporting greater clarity, confidence, resilience, and overall well-being.

Strengths

I bring warmth, curiosity, and a steady presence to sessions. I listen closely and ask questions that help us get beneath the surface of what’s happening, without rushing you toward an answer. Clients can expect me to be compassionate and direct: I’ll make room for difficult feelings while helping you identify patterns and try practical ways to move forward. My approach stands out in how I bring those pieces together. I draw on CBT, DBT, ACT, and mindfulness, but I tailor our work to your goals and circumstances. We might build skills for managing anxiety or emotions, explore how past experiences affect your relationships, or work on boundaries and communication. I also consider the pressures shaped by your identity, culture, family, and work rather than treating your concerns in isolation. I have a particular interest in men’s mental health and understand that asking for help can feel unfamiliar when you’re used to handling things alone. Whatever brings you in, you won’t need to perform or have the right words. We’ll start where you are and work together toward changes that feel meaningful to you.

Ideal clients

I work especially well with adults who are ready to examine the roles they’ve fallen into and decide which ones still fit. Maybe you’ve become the person everyone counts on, but you rarely ask for what you need. Maybe a change in your work, relationships, or family life has made old ways of coping less effective. You want more than relief in the moment; you want to understand yourself and respond to life with greater intention. Many of my clients are working through anxiety, depression, ADHD, or chronic stress. Some want to communicate more openly, feel less ruled by self-criticism, or find a healthier balance between responsibility and rest. I’m particularly drawn to helping men question the idea that they must manage everything alone, while welcoming adults of every gender and background. There’s no single way to be “ready” for therapy. If something in your life is asking for your attention, that’s enough of a place to begin.

Treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT skills to help you manage intense emotions, tolerate distress, communicate effectively, and respond thoughtfully when situations feel overwhelming.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We identify patterns in your thoughts and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck. Then we test practical ways to respond to challenges and build more helpful habits.

Narrative

We explore the stories you’ve come to believe about yourself and how they may have been shaped by family, culture, relationships, or past experiences. Together, we look for perspectives that reflect your values, abilities, and hopes for the future.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT helps us clarify what matters to you. We work on making room for difficult thoughts and feelings while taking steps toward a life that reflects your values.

Strength-Based

We pay attention to what’s already working, including the qualities and resources that have helped you get through difficult times. Those strengths become part of how we approach your goals.
