Georgina Kasih
Hello! My Name is Georgina, I am an LCSW practicing in Southern California. I specialize in the areas of relationship and family trauma. I take an inclusive, person-centered approach to explore how our past experiences influence the way we walk through the world. My goal is to help you find authentic confidence in the ways you engage in self-care, relationships, and the ongoing transitions in your life. If you feel as though your foundation for relationships (familial, platonic, or romantic) was not built on solid ground, I am here to help. It is easy to feel alone when we are struggling. Community is an essential part of our lives, and improving how we seek connection is imperative. Together we can develop the skills needed to meet life with confidence.
I subscribe to the belief that people are the experts of their own lives, and I am here to help you navigate it in a way that feels honest, realistic, and manageable.
Starting therapy can be both exciting and intimidating. Our healing journey can sometimes lead us down unfamiliar paths that are difficult to navigate alone. Sharing our innermost concerns, although vulnerable, can provide some relief. My goal is to provide a safe, inclusive, non-judgmental space for you to explore your worries and gain some peace of mind. *PLEASE NOTE: I am not able to accommodate for session times that are not shown on my scheduling availability calendar. If you would like to have session with me it must be at the times available on the scheduling calendar.*
First session
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Strengths
I am aware and can empathize with the complexities of belonging to marginalized and underserved communities, I am mindful of how interactions with the outside world influence our internal systems. I lean toward strategies that are inclusive, culturally competent, and trauma-informed. In alignment with these values, I am enthusiastic about exploring the way relationship dynamics contribute to how disconnected or connected we feel to ourselves and each other. I have a strong motivation to work with those who have experiences with relationship issues/intimate partner violence, intergenerational and family trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, difficult life transitions, and neurodivergence such as ASD and ADHD.
Ideal clients
I have a strong motivation to work with those who have experiences with relationship issues/intimate partner violence, intergenerational and family trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, grief and loss, difficult life transitions, and neurodivergence such as ASD and ADHD.
