LCSW, 7 years of experience
New to Grow
My name is Kelly, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with numerous years of experience in the mental health field across a variety of treatment settings. I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and achieve meaningful personal growth. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative, drawing on evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Therapy with me is about creating space to be honest with yourself, strengthening your resilience, and beginning to build the meaningful life you deserve.
During your first session, you can expect to share some background information about yourself and what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your current concerns, personal history, and any previous experiences with therapy or support. Together, we’ll discuss your goals for therapy and what you hope to achieve. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, get a sense of my approach, and decide if this feels like the right fit for you.
One of my greatest strengths is helping clients gain clarity and confidence as they navigate life’s challenges. I work to empower clients to recognize their own resilience and develop practical tools for lasting change. Clients often share that they appreciate my balance of compassion, insight, and straightforward guidance that helps them move toward their goals.
My clients often come to therapy feeling weighed down by stress, self-doubt, or unhealthy coping patterns that no longer work for them. Many describe cycles of anxiety, depression, or substance use that leave them feeling stuck and frustrated. They may notice that, despite their best efforts, they fall back into old habits—struggling with motivation, focus, or maintaining balance in their relationships and daily lives. Deep down, they want to feel more in control, more connected, and more hopeful about the future.
In practice, I integrate CBT techniques such as thought-record exercises, cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, exposure work, and relapse prevention planning.
I view the therapeutic relationship as central to healing and prioritize empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard in every session. I believe clients are the experts on their own experiences, and my role is to help them access their inner strengths and capacity for growth.
I frequently use MI techniques such as open-ended questions, affirmations, reflective listening, and summarizing to help clients explore ambivalence, clarify values, and strengthen commitment to goals
