I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist(LMFT) in California providing services virtually. I primarily help young adults with challenges such as anxiety, neurodivergence, self-esteem, and life transitions. I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and completed my practicum and associate work in the community mental health sector. Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade working in the special education system, primarily with Autism and ADHD.
There is zero pressure with me. In the first session you can expect a very relaxed vibe. I will spend about 15 minutes reviewing "housekeeping" stuff (ie. HIPAA, policies scheduling, answering questions). Then the remaining time will be spent getting to know you and your specific needs and hopes for therapy. I have a very laid back style and am genuinely excited to get to be apart of your journey.
My experience working in special education taught me to really get creative in finding unique ways to approach treatment. This skill is something I bring to my work with young adults facing unique challenges. Additionally, I have certifications in domestic violence and tech addiction.
Every client is different and I think your therapy experience should match that. I use an eclectic and client-centered approach weaving in techniques from other modalities such as CBT, DBT, narrative, and psychodynamic to create a therapeutic experience that's tailored to you and your specific needs.
