About me

As someone who has worked to decolonize and learn my role in the world, I feel I understand the complexities of individual identity. I aim to offer compassionate guidance on your journey of self-exploration and growth.🍉Many times the systems in place are problematic, not us or our way of thinking. I have 20 years (in 2024) of experience in the child and family services/advocacy field, finding my passion working with youth and families stuck in broken systems. Prior to earning my MSW, I worked with incarcerated youth and families involved in the child welfare system. I have experience with a variety of needs including trauma, ADHD, gender identity, women’s experiences, and grief with a holistic approach to meet each client’s complex needs.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will be a time for you to get to know me as a clinician and decide if I can meet your needs while also allowing me time to understand why you are seeking therapy. I like for the first session to be a space where you can identify what you would like to get out of therapy as well as what brings you to therapy in general. (I know, easy peasy!)

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I love to connect with people. I think we are all unique and all have things we struggle with. I dont mind sharing up's and down's I have had because I believe we heal in safety and we can only find that safety in community. I have worked to step outside of the traditional counseling approach to truly meet people where they are, help with harm reduction, and build supports both internally and externally.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is anyone who is genuine about reflection as well as growth. I typically work with the 'others' who feel like they don't fit in with traditional society at times.
