(she/her)
Hi my name is Jacquelyn Hatcher and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I specialize in working with adult individuals navigating complex family dynamics, anxiety, people-pleasing tendencies, and women's issues. My approach is warm and grounded in curiosity and a deep respect for your unique story. My self care includes spending time with my husband, cats, family, friends, gardening, exercising, cooking, among other hobbies. I strongly believe in taking care of both your physical and emotional needs for overall wellness. My therapy cats may join us during our virtual sessions. Their names are Anastasia (10 year old Thai mix), Lilac (5 year old Blue Mitted Ragdoll), and Archie (3 year old Orange Tabby). I am a huge animal lover and would love to meet your pets if you'd like them to join our sessions.
During our first session, we will begin by reviewing the initial paperwork, including confidentiality, and scheduling. This session primarily focuses on the intake paperwork, where I gather information about your background, current concerns, and therapy goals. I believe the intake is an essential part of the therapeutic journey, as it provides valuable insight into your experiences. Given the depth of exploration involved, completing the intake may take more than one session. Throughout this process, I will provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space to help you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace.
I specialize in working with women who are struggling with life transitions, relationship conflict, and anxiety. I also enjoy helping clients use assertive communication to set boundaries in their relationships. I tailor my collaborative approach to each of my clients and focus on both present and past difficulties. We will decide together where to start your therapeutic journey.
I specialize in working with adult women and exclusively work with individual clients.
