New to Grow
I’m a compassionate and direct therapist who believes meaningful change happens when insight and action come together. I bring a balance of warmth, clinical depth, and practical skill-building to our work, helping you better understand yourself while also equipping you with tools you can use in everyday life. My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based practices, and I strive to create a space where you feel both supported and empowered to grow.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you—what brings you to therapy, what’s been feeling difficult, and what you hope might change. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand your history, current stressors, strengths, and goals, while also making space for anything you feel is most important to share. By the end, we’ll begin identifying initial areas of focus and talk about what working together could look like, so you leave with a clearer sense of direction and next steps.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to balance insight with action—I help you understand the deeper roots of your patterns while also giving you concrete tools to create change in real time. I’m skilled at staying grounded and steady when emotions feel intense, which allows you to process difficult experiences without feeling overwhelmed. Clients often share that they feel both deeply understood and meaningfully challenged in our work together, leading to lasting shifts rather than temporary relief.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I’m best positioned to support adults who are feeling stuck in patterns of anxiety, trauma responses, perfectionism, or relationship stress and are ready to better understand what’s driving those patterns. Many of my clients are thoughtful, high-functioning individuals who outwardly manage a lot but internally feel overwhelmed, emotionally reactive, or disconnected from themselves. If you’re motivated for growth, open to learning practical skills, and willing to gently explore past experiences that may still be shaping you, we would likely work well together.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to develop practical tools to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and create meaningful change.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and healthy communication so you can navigate intense emotions and relationships more effectively.
EMDR
With Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I guide you in safely processing past experiences that feel “stuck,” helping your nervous system reprocess distressing memories so they no longer hold the same emotional charge.
