New to Grow
Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York with more than nine years of clinical experience. I have worked across a variety of settings and am trained in evidence-based modalities, including DBT and CBT. I provide supportive, individualized care and work collaboratively with adults to help them grow, build resilience, and become the best versions of themselves.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions and then dive into specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions about my approach and decide together if therapy with me feels like a good fit.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My approach is collaborative and individualized, tailored to each client’s unique needs. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for skill-building, psychodynamic therapy to explore underlying causes of distress, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to identify goals and create meaningful, actionable change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I best serve young adults through older adults who are motivated to improve, but do not yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. I support women who are working to build self-esteem and independence, overcome fear of the unknown and navigate life transitions. Clients may feel stuck in unfulfilled relationships, overwhelmed by work-related stress or burnout, and flooded by anxiety. When life feels overwhelming, it can be difficult to know which direction to take.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a person-centered approach by creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic space where clients feel heard and understood. I believe clients are the experts in their own lives, and I work collaboratively to support self-awareness, empowerment, and meaningful change at each client's pace.
Strength-Based
I use a strengths-based approach that focuses on identifying and building upon each client's existing abilities, resilience, and resources. I collaborate with clients to highlight what's working, foster empowerment, and support growth through practical, client-driven goals.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques in treatment to help clients build distress tolerance—the skills to manage and navigate difficult emotions and stressful situations without becoming overwhelmed. Through DBT, I guide adults in developing practical strategies to cope with intense feelings, reduce impulsive reactions, and respond to life’s challenges with greater resilience and calm.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge cognitive distortions—patterns of thinking that contribute to stress, anxiety, or negative emotions. Through CBT, I guide adults in understanding how thoughts influence feelings and behaviors, building awareness and practical skills to shift unhelpful thinking, improve emotional regulation, and create more positive, constructive patterns in daily life.
