Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist based in Illinois. I received my Master's Degree from Lewis University and have been practicing for five years. In addition to providing treatment for a variety of different disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders (among others), I also have a passion for providing services to the LGBTQ+ community to make sure they have access to the support and care they deserve/need. I am primarily available on Saturdays between 9-3, but I am also able to provide appointments outside of this availability by request! If you need a time outside the availability, simply ask and I will do my best to accommodate these needs!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, I will complete an evaluation that will help me gain a deeper understanding of the issues that brought you to therapy, provide a diagnosis (as required by insurance), develop a treatment plan, and work with you to develop treatment goals. I will also devote time to answering any questions you may have regarding the experience!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Through my work with a variety of different populations and mental health challenges, I have developed a tried-and-true playbook for identifying the root of the issues that brought you to therapy, identifying solutions that work for you based on your personal strengths, and developing a tailored plan that helps you achieve the level of progress you desire.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I am a certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist and have used DBT in my practice for the past five years, not only helping clients learn to accept their symptoms, but also to learn to manage them more effectively. We will use mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness to help you learn to manage your struggles in moments where change can not happen and to learn how to effectively bring about change in moments where change is possible.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been an integral part of my practice over the past five years, using this treatment method to help clients challenge their reoccurring, negative thoughts and manage their anxieties. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we will learn to recognize the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and how they all influence each other. Furthermore, we'll use this knowledge on the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to learn to restructure your thinking patterns and live a less anxious life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Treatment is a treatment method I have used frequently in my practice, both in conjunction with other treatment methods and as a stand-alone treatment method to help clients draw on their strengths to find effective solutions to their difficulties in scenarios that don't require the analysis present in other treatment methods
