I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York and received my Masters in Social Welfare from Stony Brook University. I have been practicing for 10 years with diverse populations, including those most vulnerable among us - those who have experienced justice-involvement or homelessness. I practice out of the relational model which is type of therapy that focuses on the importance of relationships and how they affect a person's well-being.
In the first session, clients can expect a warm, respectful, and supportive space where they feel truly seen and heard. I will approach them with genuine curiosity, seeking to understand their unique experiences, strengths, and challenges without assumptions. Together, we will explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your hopes for the process, and begin to establish a collaborative path forward. With deep respect for each person’s individuality, I hope to foster a connection built on trust, openness, and a shared commitment to growth.
My greatest strengths as a provider is my deep respect and curiosity for each client’s unique journey. I create a warm, nonjudgmental space where individuals feel truly seen and heard, allowing them to explore their experiences with trust and openness. My ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, along with my appreciation for their resilience and personal growth, enables me to tailor my approach to each person’s needs. I believe that every client has an inherent worth and strength within them, and I strive to help them uncover and build upon it in a meaningful way.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients from various backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. I do not have a specific preference regarding the population I serve because I find deep meaning and fulfillment in witnessing each individual’s unique journey. I approach every client with curiosity, respect, and a sense of awe for their resilience and personal growth..
As a psychotherapist with 10 years of experience utilizing CBT, I have refined my approach through clinical practice, supervision, and continued education. My expertise allows me to adapt CBT techniques to individual client needs, making therapy structured yet flexible, while empowering clients to take an active role in their mental health journey.
With CPT, I bring expertise in tailoring interventions to individual client needs while maintaining a structured, goal-oriented approach. CPT enables me to guide clients in challenging and modifying maladaptive trauma-related beliefs, which fosters long-term healing, emotional regulation, and restored self-esteem.
As a seasoned psychotherapist, I am at ease utilizing an eclectic approach that ensures therapy is highly personalized, integrative, and responsive to client needs. By drawing from multiple modalities, I create a dynamic, adaptable, and holistic healing process, maximizing therapeutic effectiveness and long-term growth.
