I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia who offers effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care. I have experience treating a number of mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADD/ADHD. I provide a welcoming, neutral space to to help individuals and couples heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by listening to concerns and collaborating with clients to customize a treatment plan. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. I promise to be accountable, accessible, and promise to create a therapeutic environment that is welcoming to all identities.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, I will complete a comprehensive intake assessment that generally lasts 60 minutes. During the intake assessment, clients can expect to provide background information related to their presenting problem(s)/symptoms and provide background information related to social/behavioral history, health/medical history, and educational/vocational history. After the initial intake assessment, clients will develop treatment goals and then meet weekly/biweekly to learn strategies to meet their goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have specific experience treating anxiety, depression and trauma. I use a client-centered approach and encourage clients to practice skills learned during each session outside of session.
