I am a licensed clinical social worker in Florida with 3 years of clinical professional work experience. Before working in the clinical field, I had extensive experience in helping clients with LQBTQIA+ related issues, family conflicts, parenting issues, & depression, as well as domestic violence and suicide prevention. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I am a poly friendly therapist. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started! I look forward to starting this journey with you and working together to continue growth and/or healing.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I like spending the first session getting to know my clients and allowing them to ask questions about myself and my experience so they can feel comfortable opening up to me. I do my best to create a judgment free zone and make the space comfortable to process feelings and emotions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is that I am empathetic and non judgemental. Time with me is a safe space. I am poly friendly so speaking about relationships and different dynamics is never taboo.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with clients that are open and honest and that are willing to put the work in. The first step of making forward progress comes from within. I am a poly friendly counselor and I know there are not a lot of supports out there that truly understand the polyamorous lifestyle so I want to be able to be a space for people to go to with no judgement. It is not an easy lifestyle and requires unique supports for working through it.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I believe the strength based approach is important. Focusing on the things you are doing well instead of things going wrong.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

The way we view things really defines our actions. I use CBT to help see things in a different way and challenge negative thoughts.

Psychoeducation

Sometimes education is the best strategy we have and having some of those answers can help us see why we do the things we do.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

You are at the center of your journey and story. We focus on you as a team and I will take your lead.
