Licensed to practice in 3 states and accepts 36 insurances. Specializes in Autism, ADHD, Trauma and PTSD and 3 more.
I've been in the behavioral health field since 1999 and practiced as a therapist since 2006. I'm trauma-informed, neurodivergent affirming, and strengths-based in my approaches. I am EMDR certified and specialize in: anxiety, trauma, ADHD and neurodivergence. I'm also the parent of an autistic teen, so I know first-hand the challenges parents go through in trying to do what's best for their child and not always knowing what that is.
During the first session we'll get to know all parts of you as well as what's bringing you in for therapy. We'll talk about what you want to work on, what supports you have, what's worked for you before and what hasn't. You're the captain of the boat and I'm just the guide. I'll have some suggestions on where to go, but ultimately everything we do is your call.
I'm a very real person. I use humor, I laugh, I curse. I've never forgotten what it was like to be a teenager and as a parent I can work from that perspective as well. That being said, we have work to do and if you want to come in, work on stuff, and get out, I can help you do that too.
My ideal clients are often "late-discovery" adults or insightful adolescents who have spent years feeling like they are operating on a different frequency than the world around them. They are frequently neurodivergent—navigating the complexities of ADHD, Autism, or a Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profile—and are looking for a therapist who "gets it" without needing a manual. They aren't looking for someone to "fix" their brain; they are looking for a collaborator to help them unmask, find safety in their nervous system, and process the years of burnout or "othering" they’ve experienced. Specifically, I work best with those ready to move beyond traditional talk therapy. Whether they are seeking EMDR intensives to process deep-seated trauma or looking for practical strategies to navigate a world built for the neurotypical, they are looking for a specialist who honors their autonomy. They might be parents of neurodivergent kids seeking a trauma-informed lens, or adults finally giving themselves permission to prioritize their own mental health. Ultimately, my ideal client is someone ready to trade the "shoulds" of society for a life that feels sustainable. They are brave enough to explore their history and motivated to build a future rooted in nurtured hope and radical self-acceptance. We work together not just to survive the week, but to build a life where their unique wiring is viewed as a blueprint rather than a barrier

EMDR
I'm an EMDR certified therapist who helps clients with painful memories, experiences and past traumas. EMDR isn't about forgetting your past; it's about freeing you from it. This specialized therapy helps you reprocess distressing memories and experiences that have left you feeling stuck or overwhelmed. By moving these memories from a place of active pain to a more neutral state, allowing you to move forward with a renewed sense of peace and strength.
Strength-Based
I'm a firm believer in focusing on the whole person. Instead of focusing on what's "wrong," strengths-based therapy is all about discovering and using what's "right" with you. We'll work together to identify your unique skills, inner resilience, and past successes to help you build a more confident, hopeful future.
